About this policy
This policy explains how Loam Counseling, LLC handles information collected through its public website and general inquiry form. It does not replace the privacy notices, informed consent, or other documents provided to clients for counseling services.
Information you provide
Our contact form asks for your name, email address, optional phone number, and preferred days or times for contact. We also receive information you choose to provide when contacting us directly.
The contact form is for general inquiries only. Please do not include symptoms, diagnoses, treatment details, or other sensitive health information. Sending an inquiry does not establish a therapist–client relationship. The form is not for emergencies; call 911 for immediate danger or call or text 988 for crisis support in the United States.
Information submitted through our contact form may qualify as protected health information under applicable law. For information about how we use and disclose protected health information and your rights regarding that information, please see our Notice of Privacy Practices.
How we use inquiry information
We use inquiry information to respond to your request, discuss availability and next steps, and manage communication with you. We may also use information as necessary to protect our services or meet applicable legal obligations.
To help protect the privacy of your information, automated contact-form confirmation emails and response receipts are disabled. You will not receive an automated email confirming your submission.
Services that handle information
Our contact form is hosted by Google Forms. Information you submit is processed through Google Forms and stored in a linked Google Sheet within our business Google Workspace account. Google's handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy. If we respond by email or phone, the providers supporting those communications also process information involved in delivering them.
We may disclose information when required by law or as otherwise legally permitted to protect rights or safety. We do not sell information submitted through our contact form. Loam Counseling does not use inquiry information for targeted advertising.
Billing and payments
Billing is handled separately from this website through Sessions Health, using Stripe for payment processing. Payment information is handled through those services, subject to their applicable privacy policies.
Website logs, cookies, and external links
Our website uses Cloudflare Pages for hosting and Cloudflare services to help deliver and protect its public pages and files. Cloudflare processes technical information, such as visitors’ IP addresses, system configuration information, and traffic data, to deliver these services and help detect and prevent abuse. Cloudflare’s retention of this technical information is governed by its applicable policies and service terms and is separate from the retention of inquiries you send to Loam Counseling. Contact-form submissions are sent directly to Google Forms, not through this website’s hosting service.

Loam Counseling will not enable or use Google Analytics on this website. Google Analytics is an optional service and is not required to use Cloudflare Pages. The current website code does not include advertising trackers or other analytics tools, and does not itself set cookies. Cloudflare may use cookies necessary for its security features, depending on the features enabled. Cloudflare’s processing of technical information for website delivery and security is separate from Google Analytics.
Links to Google Forms, Sessions Health, and Psychology Today take you to separate services. Those services may use cookies and collect technical information under their own privacy notices. The client portal is separate from this site's general inquiry form.
Storage, access, and retention
Contact-form responses are stored in a linked Google Sheet within Loam Counseling’s business Google Workspace account. This Workspace account is covered by a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Google. This statement concerns our Google Workspace account, not Cloudflare or other separate services.
Within Loam Counseling, only Heather Blasi has access to the Google Sheet containing contact-form responses. If you decide to pursue counseling treatment, your contact inquiry information will be transferred to and stored in Sessions Health, our electronic health records system.
Contact inquiry information is deleted from Google Forms and the linked Google Sheet when any of the following occurs:
- Counseling will begin: You and your therapist agree to pursue counseling, and the information needed for your care has been transferred to Sessions Health, our electronic health records system.
- Services will not proceed: The consultation is complete, and it has been determined that counseling services are not needed or appropriate at this time.
- We are unable to reach you: We make no more than two attempts to contact you. If we do not receive a response within five business days after our final contact attempt, your contact inquiry information is deleted.
Information transferred to Sessions Health becomes part of your clinical record and is subject to separate clinical-record retention requirements. The inquiry-deletion practices above do not apply to your clinical record. Information may be retained longer when required by applicable law.
No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use the communication methods provided during intake for sensitive client information.
Your questions and requests
You may contact us to ask about information you have provided, request a correction, or request deletion. We will review requests under applicable law and any recordkeeping obligations; deletion may not always be possible. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Updates and contact
We will update this policy when our website data practices change and display the effective date of the revised policy.
